This guide walks through connecting a Star Micronics TSP100 Series printer to the MeeD POS app on iPad, step by step — from setup and connecting, to test printing, all the way to printing a real receipt.
Plug the power cable into the adapter, then plug it into an outlet — no need to turn it on yet.
Plug the LAN (RJ-45) cable into the Ethernet port on the back of the printer, and the other end into an open port on your router. Make sure the iPad running MeeD POS is on the same WiFi network as that router.

Open the paper compartment cover on top, load an 80 × 80mm thermal paper roll with the heat-sensitive side (the smooth side) facing out, then close the cover securely.

Open the MeeD POS app on iPad, tap the ☰ menu in the top-left corner, scroll down to "Settings", and select "Receipt Printer".

The "Printers" screen shows an "Add New Printer" section with supported brands: Epson, Star Micronics, XPrinter, and Others (Ethernet).
Tap the "Install" button on the Star Micronics card.

After tapping Install, the system automatically searches for printers on the same network. Once found, it shows the model name, e.g. TSP143IIILAN (STR_T-001), with its IP address and connection type.
Tap the "+" button to the right of the printer you want to add.

The printer shows up under "Connected Printers" with a ✅ Connected status and a ⭐ Primary Printer badge.
Tap the purple "Test Print" button to check the printer is working correctly.

Go back to the sales screen and select the items you want — they're added to the Cart with the running total shown. Double-check the items and total.
Tap the orange "Pay" button at the bottom.

On the "Payment" screen, choose the method you want: 💵 Cash / 📱 Transfer (PromptPay) / 💳 Credit Card / 📲 Wallet.
Enter the amount received — the system calculates change automatically. Then tap the orange "Confirm Cash Payment" button in the bottom right.

Once payment completes, the system shows a "Payment Successful" screen with the transaction number, date, payment method, and change due.
Tap "Print Receipt" to print via the configured Star Micronics printer, then tap the orange "Done" button to return to the sales screen.

A Star Micronics receipt shows full details: Shop info (name, branch, address, phone), Tax Invoice/Receipt (receipt number, date, time, staff), Items (menu name, quantity, price, with add-ons), Discounts (manual discount, promotion discount), Totals (subtotal before tax, 7% VAT, grand total), and Payment (method, amount received, change).

The app can't find the printer
Check that the printer is powered on and the iPad is on the same WiFi. Try turning the printer off and on, then search again.
The printer connects but nothing prints
Check that there's paper in the printer, then tap Test Print again. Confirm it's set as the primary printer, or try removing and re-adding it.
The receipt prints with strange characters
Check that the printer model is correctly set to Star Micronics, and that the paper is loaded facing the right way (print side up).
