How to Add a Star Micronics Receipt Printer in MeeD POS

This guide walks through connecting a Star Micronics TSP100 Series printer to the MeeD POS app on iPad, step by step — from setup and connecting, to test printing, all the way to printing a real receipt.

Interface: LAN (Ethernet)iPadStar Micronics TSP100 Series

    What You'll Need

    • An iPad with the MeeD POS app installed
    • A Star Micronics TSP100 Series printer (e.g. TSP143III)
    • The printer and iPad on the same WiFi network, or connected via USB/Lightning

How to Set Up the Printer

Step 1 — Prepare the Hardware and Cabling

    1

    Connect the Power Cable

Plug the power cable into the adapter, then plug it into an outlet — no need to turn it on yet.

    2

    Connect the LAN Cable

Plug the LAN (RJ-45) cable into the Ethernet port on the back of the printer, and the other end into an open port on your router. Make sure the iPad running MeeD POS is on the same WiFi network as that router.

The router must be the same one the iPad is connected to — if they're on different networks, the printer won't be found.
    3

    Load the Thermal Paper

Open the paper compartment cover on top, load an 80 × 80mm thermal paper roll with the heat-sensitive side (the smooth side) facing out, then close the cover securely.
